Apollo can help you find prospects, enrich their details, and run sales workflows. That is useful when you want those steps together. It is less compelling when you already send from another tool and mainly open Apollo to get contact data.
The right Apollo alternative depends on what you are replacing. Leadscart is a data layer. Hunter combines finding with verification and outreach. Prospeo adds prospecting and CRM enrichment. Snov.io bundles data with sending. LeadMagic gives builders a broader enrichment API.
Our short answer: consider Leadscart if you want contact search and one-credit reveals while keeping your existing sender. Keep Apollo if its sequences, integrations, and sales-engagement workflows are doing useful work for you.
Five Apollo alternatives, by the job they do
| Alternative | Consider it for | Important trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Leadscart | Contact search and email/phone reveals for an existing outbound stack | No built-in sequencer or dialer; daily reveal and export limits apply |
| Hunter | Name/domain or LinkedIn-handle email finding, standalone verification, and outreach | Compare its finding, verifying, and bulk-domain units separately |
| Prospeo | Prospecting plus CRM enrichment and contact details | API/MCP search pages and reveals have separate credit costs |
| Snov.io | Email finding plus campaigns, warm-up, and sales management | Finder can charge for unknown emails; credits, recipients, and enrichment tokens differ |
| LeadMagic | A broad enrichment API with finding, validation, phone, and company endpoints | Different endpoints have different rates and input requirements |
Leadscart: keep the sender, change the data layer
Search your market, save selected people to a List, and reveal the contact details worth using. One person costs one credit when a verified work email or a phone comes back. If both are available, they are included in that same credit. Searching and exporting spend no credits.
Monthly plans start at $29 for 2,000 credits. REST and MCP are included on every plan, including Free. This is not a replacement for sending software or a CRM.
Hunter: finding, verification, and outreach together
Hunter's Email Finder accepts a name and company domain, or a LinkedIn handle. It also offers Domain Search, Discover, Sequences, and a standalone Email Verifier. That makes it worth considering if your task is company-domain prospecting or checking email addresses you already have, not just revealing details for selected people. See its Email Finder and pricing.

Prospeo: data plus prospecting and CRM enrichment
Prospeo combines contact finding with company information, filters, and CRM enrichment. Growth includes HubSpot and Salesforce features. Its MCP supports people and company search, but people search costs a credit per page before you reveal actual contact details. See its pricing and MCP documentation.

Snov.io: replace more of the outreach stack
Snov.io is an option when the missing piece is not just data. Its paid plans advertise sending, warm-up, sales CRM, API, and MCP alongside finding tools. Unused credits can roll over under its renewal rules. Finder results marked unknown can still cost a credit, so its allowance is not a guarantee of that many verified emails. See its pricing, credit rules, and rollover rules.

LeadMagic: choose by endpoint
LeadMagic offers name/company email finding, mobile finding, standalone validation, profiles, company data, and other endpoints. API, CLI, and MCP are included in its self-serve plans. It is worth keeping if your workflow needs several of those products, not only contact reveals. See its API introduction and pricing.

Leadscart vs Apollo: the differences that matter
| Decision | Leadscart | Apollo |
|---|---|---|
| Buying model | Account-level monthly credit plan; no per-seat billing | Seat-based plans with shared credits; plan details depend on the subscription |
| Standard email-plus-mobile lookup | One credit per person when either qualifying field is returned; both included when available | Standard REST people enrichment: one credit for demographics/email, plus eight when a mobile is returned |
| Email verification | Source-supplied verification date; not a fresh check run by Leadscart | Published verification and enrichment rules; verify the exact endpoint and plan |
| REST/MCP | Included on every plan, including Free | Both offered; permissions, plan access, and action credits still apply |
| Sending and execution | Bring your own sender and dialer | Sequences and sales-engagement actions are part of the broader platform |
| Waterfall | One licensed source | Waterfall options can have different vendor-dependent charges |
| CSV input | LinkedIn URL or name plus company domain; website/work email can supply the domain | Check the input contract for the Apollo import or endpoint you use |
| Limits | Daily reveal/export caps plus request and batch limits | Endpoint- and plan-specific API limits |
| Unused paid credits | Expire at the end of the paid month | Do not roll over into the next billing cycle |
Apollo's billing and feature descriptions come from its pricing page, API credit documentation, and MCP documentation. Leadscart's rules are explained on pricing and in the API/MCP docs. For current Apollo subscription prices and included allowances, check its pricing page and your workspace plan rather than treating an annual allowance as a monthly grant.
A worked example: 100 email-plus-mobile matches
Assume you already have the same 100 target people, both products resolve them, and both return a verified work email and a mobile. No discovery, extra verification, or waterfall calls are included.
| Task | Calculation | Credit consumption |
|---|---|---|
| Leadscart reveals | 100 people × 1 | 100 |
| Apollo standard REST people enrichment | 100 people × (1 email/demographics + 8 mobile) | 900 |
Apollo documents this standard enrichment rate separately from waterfall rates.1 On Leadscart Starter, the task uses 5% of the 2,000-credit allowance and fits below the daily cap of 500 successful reveals. Starter costs $29 per month; 100 credits are not a separate $29 purchase.
This is not a nine-times-cheaper dollar claim. Credits have different values, subscription prices differ, and Apollo includes other tools. It also does not predict that either product will find all 100 contacts. Leadscart phones can be mobile, direct dial, or company lines; this example specifically assumes mobiles are returned on both sides.
Three reasons to consider Leadscart
You can price the data step without buying another sending platform. Leadscart separates finding and revealing from sending. Compare its monthly bill with the portion of your current stack that it would actually replace, not with the price of an entire suite you still need.
The reveal unit stays the same when both contact fields come back. An email and a phone for one person do not become two Leadscart charges. A phone-only result still costs one credit. Neither field returned means no charge.
You can test the workflow through the API or MCP before buying. The 25-credit free grant uses the same access model as paid plans. Apollo also has MCP; the question is which actions, permissions, and credit rules match your task, not which product can connect to an assistant.
When staying on Apollo makes more sense
Stay if you use its sequences, CRM integrations, and sales-engagement actions together. A lower data bill may not save money after you add replacement sending tools and migration work.
Apollo's MCP can support more than lookups: its documentation describes prospecting, enrichment, lists, and sales-engagement actions.2 If that is the workflow you want your assistant to run, Leadscart's focused data tools are not an equivalent replacement.
Keep your coverage decision separate from the feature comparison. Run representative contacts from your market, inspect returned fields, and compare usable results before canceling anything.
What switching the data layer looks like
A Leadscart workflow is: search contacts → choose people → save to a List → reveal details → export to your sending tool. For a list you already have, upload a CSV containing LinkedIn URLs or names plus company domains. A website or work email can supply the domain; a company name alone is not enough for the name/domain strategy.
Through MCP, the equivalent steps use people_search, List tools, email_find, and list_export. email_find accepts up to 25 people or existing List lead IDs in total per call. You can send people directly by LinkedIn URL or name/company domain without creating a List first. Larger jobs need batches; an allowance is not a one-request output promise.
Before switching:
- List the Apollo features your team actually uses.
- Confirm your replacement inputs: LinkedIn URLs or names with company domains.
- Keep campaign history, CRM records, and suppression rules in their appropriate systems.
- Test a small representative set and schedule volume around daily caps.
- Change the data step only after the export and sending handoff work.
Test the data layer before changing your stack
Pick contacts you actually plan to approach, not just the easiest examples. Check the inputs, returned email verification dates, phone types, credits spent, and export handoff.
Eligible new accounts get 25 free credits, no card, for 30 days. It is enough for a small workflow test, not proof of performance across your whole market.
